Good Evening Team,
First off we just want to thank everyone who
is coming out on Saturday for the walk. Your participation and support
is such a lift to us. Knowing there are so many people in our lives who
take time out to walk with us is amazing. Before I hit on a few house
cleaning items to keep you in the know, please remember people with CF
are not to be within 6 feet of one another to prevent the sharing of CF
specific lung infections. Please be conscious of the event nature, use
lots of sanitizer, cough into your elbow and throw tissues away. Most
of the CFer’s will have a MVP baseball shirt on. These are the folks
you are walking for. They all truly appreciate you being there. Thank
you again for joining us this year!
Parking - Parking will be available for free in the Raley Field parking lots
Check-in
/ Registration -is located on the Main Gate Plaza in front of the Raley
Field Box Office. The registration table will tell you where we are
sitting as well as give you all the walk day goodies like entrance
tickets to get you access to all the fun. This is also the time to pick
up any incentive prizes you have earned.
Meet up Time- We are
asking our team to be registered, checked in and at our area by 9:00
am. That gives us about 10 minutes to tell you what you need to know
and then do a team photo at 9:10. Team Photos are going to be done
inside the park near the main entrance gate. We are trying to get red
and white balloons for our area to distinguish us from others. That will
give us time for our team photos, thank yous and all the fun other
stuff.
PRIZES: I'm including the link to the Great Strides prizes
for anyone who has fundraised $100 or more. Please take a look and know
what selection you'd like to make once you get up to the Registration
Check In booth, and pass along to your Walkers as well :) This year, our
Chapter offered an additional incentive prize. For anyone who banked
$50 or more between May 1st and May 14th, they will receive a Team CF

The Pre Walk Fest
Raley Field Gates will open at 8:00am with access to pre-walk activities including refreshments,

Mania, Team Photos, Roaming Selfie's, The Music Zone, Health &
Wellness Expo, Vendor Village, Dinger's Kids Corner, Raffle, Super
Raffle, Silent Auction, The Wall of Champions, "Why I Stride" Tribute
Wall, M.V.P. Art Walk, Zumba Warm-Up, Jumbo-Tron Presentations and More!
The Walk
The 5k Great Strides walk will start at
9:30am on the Raley Field Plaza at the Main Gate Start Line. The
kick-off ceremony will begin with a few special guests and an extra
festive Raley Field start!
The Post Walk Fest
As you complete
the walk, you'll enter Raley Field through the center field gate, walk
around the baseball field to the exciting finish line. The Great Strides
Walk Fest will continue including a special "run the bases" for all
kids, lunch a free Ballpark BBQ lunch (Dinger Dogs and Black Bean
Burgers, Chips, and unlimited soft drinks), RAFFLES, Vendor Village,
Health and Wellness Expo, live entertainment, fun & games and more!
They will be set up to take credit cards for all raffles and silent
auctions this year!
Shirts
I have them. You can pick them up that morning.
